So Renmenions… could you do what Adam and Courtney did and work through the obstacles that could have potentially prevented you from achieving goals you had established for yourself in your childhood or early adulthood? Have you allowed the social or emotional restrictions of “being adult” to reduce your paradigm of the possible? How much more exciting could your life be if you were to address each challenge with “how” rather than “I couldn’t?”
Wow i made the reel; sooo cool thanks guys!
Cant wait for episode 11; It will be very interesting to see your start and were you guys began. How you made the jump is very interesting, as i am at about that point in my career/business!
As for the SWAG go with useful stuff…. such as: Bags, Office Stuff, Flash Light for home inspections, Golf Stuff…
Thanks and Good Job
RR
RR,
You know you made it! You were our first Ren Menion shout-out! Great ideas for the Swagffs…
Great episode guys!
I can see that there is a lot of work going on to add more and more polish. I liked the transitions especially.
Debt is a real killer. Those bad decisions made when younger (or even not so young) take FOREVER to fix sometimes. and it seems to be the first thing that needs to be addressed when talking finances and Lifestyle design. …Ok I guess stopping the accumulation of MORE debt would be the first thing…
Looking forward to the next episode!
How are you Sir? Hey been following you guys on the Ren Men Show, it’s awesome. Hey quick question, it doesn’t really pertain to anything but why does Alan wear that bada$$ vest with the name Ernie on it? Nickname or what? Anyway don’t want to be a bother just want to say hi and tell you that you two are doing an amazing jobbreaking down info and making it understandable. Thanks, it has motivated me toget off my A$$ and do something. Anyway the new website is awesome and it is alot sexier!!!
Rick
Grant and Alan,
Another outstanding show. I visited Adam Baker’s BLOG (www.manvsdebt.com) and poked around a little. I noticed that he, like Pat Flynn, provides financial transparency. We as a culture tend to want to see how others live, what they make, what they spend, what their priorities are. I’ve always loved the articles in money/investing magazines in which a family is profiled, revealing income, liabilities, assets, etc. I tend to compare myself against these profiles to see how I measure up. It’s just the way we seem to be wired and both Pat and Adam are willing to life the covers and reveal the inner workings of their financial engines – Great stuff.
SWAG – When I was a partner in BATMANN Consulting (www.batmannconsulting.com), we had a few pieces of SWAG that were really cool. One was a keychain light that projected our logo onto any surface – They were used at events, clubs, and whenever I needed a little extra light. I still have a few, new in the box that I keep stored away as future collectors’ items. Here’s an example: http://www.identity-links.com/light-up/projection/metal-logo-projection-key-tag. We also put our logo/website/phone number on pens, but not the cheap, plastic, disposable kind. We used three sided (triangular) grip pens – I still use one today and have been for about six or seven years. If you give away a pen, you should ensure that it is one that will be used and seen rather than one that will get thrown away or put in a drawer. The ones we used were like those shown on this website: http://jordanmarketing.com/sobe-triangular-rubber-grip-pens.htm. Lastly, you can think about thumb drives for storing data. These are always popular and now quite cheap. Not sure if it’s as important in your industry as it was in ours, but IT execs always loved the tiny USB storage drives.
I dig the outtakes at the end of your shows – Reminds me of “Grumpy Old Men” – Funny!
Cheers,
Matt
FGP – I like the line “We’re grumpy old men in 30 year old bodies” – I never realized that you were five years younger than me (Ha!)…That explains how you’ve managed to keep that great hair of yours growing and flowing!
Ernie vest? ….What!?
I think you got your swag(ffs) idea right their buddies.
Its like a nickname. You can’t just go out and make your own nickname. It has to reveal itself organically with an inside joke attached.
Ernie Vests for everyone with the ren-men logo instead of the renaissance logo. I called it.
